Has this ever happened to you? You sit down to brainstorm some ideas for the next few articles you want to write for your blog or some post topics that you want to pitch to your client and your mind totally blanks out.
I mean, there is nothing there — totally blank.
It’s happened to me more than once and it’s a huge waste of time to sit there and pound my head against the table hoping that might shake things up enough to kick up an idea or two that are actually worth writing for people.
I hate when this happens and I’m sure you do too. However, I’ve found a few ways to help speed up the process and many tools that I’ve come across very little effort and still allow me to come up with great ideas for posts.
I cannot tell you how much I love this tool.
Say I was thinking of writing something about WordPress Themes, but since it is such a broad topic, I have no idea where to start.
Well, if I used the tool found there, enter the WordPress Themes into the search terms and then click the green button, the tool will take that keyword and kick up a blog post idea for me.
If the initial result doesn’t resonate with me, then I just keep clicking the button over and over again until the tool turns out something that is worthy of a blog post topic.
Generally, it takes only a few minutes for me to find a some ideas that I really like and that would be interesting enough to start writing about.
This is another tool that I’ve found rather helpful for generating ideas when my brain just won’t cut it.
Simply choose 3 keywords that you need help creating a blog post idea about and then click the button to get results.
You can do this over and over again and churn up a bunch of ideas that you can add to your content marketing to-do list.
Lastly is this little idea generating gem.
The Portent Content Idea Generator works just like the others, but just had a nicer user experience that is fun and much more exciting than the others mentioned.
Choose any keyword that you want to generate some ideas about and simply click the button and wait for the ideas to come streaming your way.
As with all of these tools, you may need to tweak the grammar on the topic ideas they kick out to make sure that they make sense, but the tools do a great job at helping you brainstorm ideas much like having a partner that you can bounce ideas off of.
